Peek-A-Boo
Even though my boys are grown I still get to say peek-a-boo on a weekly basis…it kind of goes with my new job just like other once used phrases like goochy goochy goo. My job also gives me an excuse to sing children’s songs all day…not too shabby really…Head shoulders knees and toes, knees and toes…
But I digress…I really enjoy knitting on my Peek-A-Boo Cloche from Lace Style. I love the hat and the pattern, it’s so fun and easy what’s not to like? Here’s a picture of my progress, if I have my way I’ll be done by the end of the week but somehow life keeps getting in the way of my knitting. I wasn’t too sure about how the colors would blend but I think the shades I chose will work for me and make this a playful and fun hat to wear.
A friend of mine (you know who you are) has decided to give up the blogging in favor of simply posting her knitting on Ravelry…it’s actually a great idea and a time saver especially now that for 20 hours a week I no longer get to have my way with my days. But I think for now I’ll keep my blog because I also like to announce my retreats and trips here…as well as the occasional recipe and scary husband tricks. I will more than likely just have a weekly posting here leaving me more time for knitting which is my favorite way to spend my day.
In other news…Bessie’s cousin Bertha gave up on me last week so I have hired another appliance replacement…a new Maytag dishwasher. Ladies please stop this…two appliances in three weeks is killing my paycheck pleasure.
