Not a creature was stirring…
Early mornings…I love them…the boys are still asleep, the big one included, the dogs have been out and fed and now it’s mommy time…I love mommy time….I can do whatever I want. I’ve been scoping out my next project…I have the urge to try something new. I checked a Cat Bordhi book out of the library and I have decided to make a luxurious moebius out of Handmaiden 4-ply cashmere.
A skein of this fabulous yarn just came my way via the USPS yesterday in a lovely Glacier Blue colorway. I had picked it out online from Colorsong and it looks slighty different than I had thought it’s a bit too close in color to the Jade Sapphire laceweight Mongolian Cashmere in Hydrangea that I bought at Knitche a week or two ago. I have the laceweight earmarked for Purl’s lace smoke ring.
Funny thing…I do not have the necessary needle size for the moebius…I need a US 10 in a 40″-47″ length. I’m going to have to buy one so I can cast on and return the book. I figured with all the convertible needles floating around here that I’d be able to hook myself up with something but nope….the only possibility would be the Denise…but when contorting the needles about in moebius mode I feel that I’d just be tempting fate with plastic needles. I wish I had bought the longer KnitPicks cord. Darn…I need to take a trip to the yarn shop.
So I am not too great at flower arranging but with these gorgeous Trader Joe roses I really don’t have to have mad flower skills to create a great Thanksgiving centepiece. I also discovered these wonderful cookies Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s ….move over Girl Scouts…these mint lovelies are as good as your Thin Mints….but only for a limited time.
