YarnCon
On Saturday I took an impromptu field trip to YarnCon. I was so pleasantly surprised to run into so many lovely people that I know, in no particular order…Lynette, Angie, Barb, Carla, Emily, Laurel, Miss M, Jen, Franklin…A real party huh?! Yeah that’s what I thought! This was a small and wonderful event, I am so happy that I found out about it in time to attend.
Franklin had a booth set up for his soon to be released book It Itches which I am totally going to buy. Until then I bought this great print of his and was lucky to receive a freebie tote bag. Thanks Franklin and IK!
I finally got a Ravelry button too! Most excellent! Then I saw Sophie’s Toes Sock Yarn dyed by the talented hands of Emily and sold to me by Carla of the blogless Carla fame. I bought a skein of the Autumn Leaves colorway although I almost bought Blazing Foliage instead it was really a tough call so I went with my first instinct. Emily has so many pretty colorways that it really is hard to choose…I think her yarn is like potato chips…you simply can’t have just one.
I also have a FO to share. I finished the Noro socks. Pretty yarn as always but probably the only socks I’ll ever knit with it.
