Seriously Hooked!
On my birthday last month I caught a glimpse of Lesley’s gorgeous shawl and I was immediately smitten. I bought three random, not matching skeins of Kureyon Sock and I waited patiently for instructions. Fast forward to March…Friday the 13th, which turned out to be a very lucky day for me except I have become totally addicted to knitting’s ugly cousin crochet. Now I really shouldn’t call it that but it’s always been a bit of a joke between knitters. I think it’s really just a matter of perhaps some knitters not understanding how to apply crochet to their repertoire. I think it’s a good marriage actually because there are just some things that crochet is much better at than knitting. Here is one example.
Simple Shawl
What a beauty. I am having way too much fun and also I am having a really hard time putting it down…it is addiciting and I am acting like crochet junkie. I am not going to rest easily until this shawl is completed.
I had to take a picture of the boys…they love the sun and my budding new shawl.
