Happy Valentines Day!

I have been having a terrific day.  I’ve made my dogs happy, my boys happy, my husband happy and myself happy, but not necessarily in that order!   Ever since we saw our first episode of Hoarders my husband has been on a “clean the house” campaign.  We have been having some fun with it… like last week when we spent some quality time really cleaning our master bath and re-caulking the tub and sink area.  The jokes surrounding the caulk were plentiful especially with the boys helping out.  It all started with an innocent request from my hubby to son #2….he asked him to “please hold the caulk” and my cheeky son replied with, “so let me get this right…you want me to hold your ‘caulk’?”   The conversation quickly deteriorated from there but was quite funny I have to admit.

So as part of the “clean the house” campaign I have been getting to chores I have been meaning to do but just haven’t…like today I switched out our king sized goose down comforter for the new one I bought when Linens n Things went out of business a while back.  Our old one had lost much of the loft it once had and I was in the process of folding it up to stuff it into the case the new one came in when Mr. Biggs took a seat on it.  He settled right in so I decided to let him have it.  I had to have my hubby hold him as I stuffed the comforter into an old dog bed I had made a few years ago.  Biggs just loves his new bed…the problem is that Obi does too and we only have one such goose down comforter.  Whoever is not in the bed has his radar up for the exact moment it’s vacated and it’s been going like this all day.  Here is Biggs enjoying the bed while I blog.

As part of this terrific day husband took me out for an early dinner at Sullivan’s Steak House.  YUM!     I also finished up a wedding card for my boss’s son.

A week or so ago I made this Get Well card.

I’ve been enjoying my card making.    I am totally stinking up my Ravolympics entries however.  I’ve only knit one row on my  entered WIP.  I must reach the finish line this year!  Go USA!  Go Me!
