I’ve been having fun with card making lately.  I’ve taken over the Sunshine duties in my department at work and now I get to make cards!   Too fun!  Actually, I really take my sweet time coming up with the ideas and layouts…I am not as good with paper as I would like to be…I sort of stink but I am getting better with each card. Check out these beauties!

I used the Ellison machine and a Pop-up die to cut the inside…I really loved how this card came out.  It was kind of funny though…someone actually said that they loved the way the coloring was done…”sort of child-like”  LOL… I was not trying to be child-like…Hahah again this is why I am a total amateur at this.  Next up….

Elephant Birthday Card

I used the an Ellison die again to create this one but I used some of my pretty card stock and embellished.  I really have to edit myself so I don’t go over the top.  This next one looks much more pro I think.

Cow Birthday Card

I like it.  Sweet and simple.  I have another one to do before March but that one is for a landmark birthday and has to be really special.  I am thinking of something with flamingos.

I found this UFO at the bottom of my knitting basket and quite thumb-less so I remedied the mitts and I can introduce you to my pair of the Fetching Mitts knit from Lion Brand Cashmere Blend in Navy.  I sort of like this yarn, it’s very Debbie Bliss Cashmerino like and now sadly missing from the hobby store shelves and only available online…unless any of you know where to snag a skein or two?
